About STAGPRO

A sporting legacy built across four generations.

STAGPRO Table Tennis Academy was founded by Mr. Loknath Dayanand, a former table tennis player with 15 years of coaching experience and a proud family sporting heritage spanning four generations.

Under his leadership and supported by a committed coaching team, STAGPRO has trained more than 500 children. Structured coaching, disciplined training and competition-focused development have helped produce accomplished district-, state- and national-level players.

Every player receives professional guidance, the right training environment and competitive exposure to progress from learning the fundamentals to performing confidently at higher levels.

Founder & Performance Mentor

Mr. Loknath Dayanand

Mr. Loknath Dayanand is the founder of STAGPRO Table Tennis Academy. With extensive experience in table tennis coaching and player development, he mentors the academy’s coaches and supports high-performance players in achieving their competitive goals.

His expertise includes athlete-performance assessment, video-based technical and tactical analysis, match-performance evaluation and mental-performance development. Through his analytical approach and personalised guidance, he helps players identify performance gaps, strengthen their competitive mindset and perform with greater confidence and consistency.

Mr. Loknath also serves as Vice President of the Bengaluru Urban District Table Tennis Association (BUDTTA). He played an instrumental role in reviving and reactivating the association after it had remained dormant for more than 20 years.

In this role, he contributes to technology-led development strategies and supports the organisation of state-ranking tournaments, inter-school competitions and specialised table tennis camps designed to introduce more young players to the sport.

He continues to be guided by Mr. T. S. Ramkumar and Mr. G. K. Vishwanath, whom he regards as valued mentors in his journey of contributing to the development and growth of table tennis.

Chiten began playing table tennis during childhood and represented his college in university-level tournaments. With more than 10 years of coaching experience, he was mentored by Mr. Loknath and developed a strong foundation in advanced coaching methods and player development.

His technical knowledge, structured approach and commitment to performance have helped develop several state-level players.

Ms. Amen Imsong

Amen was introduced to table tennis as a hobby during her school years. Inspired by her brother, Mr. Chiten Sangba, she developed a strong passion for coaching and athlete development.

With more than 10 years of experience, she specialises in strong fundamentals and accurate technique. Her patient, dedicated and child-friendly approach has contributed to the development of state- and national-level players.

Who can join STAGPRO Table Tennis Academy?

STAGPRO welcomes players at Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced and Professional levels. Placement is based on ability, readiness, commitment and competitive goals.

How is the correct training level decided?

Coaches assess the player’s grip, ball control, stroke quality, movement, consistency, spin awareness, match understanding and training commitment before recommending the appropriate pathway.

What are the academy training timings?

The morning session runs from 5:30 AM to 7:45 AM. The evening session runs from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Is the academy open throughout the year?

Yes. The academy operates throughout the year on all days. Individual schedules may be adjusted around school, tournaments and player recovery.

Does STAGPRO prepare players for tournaments?

Yes. Advanced and Professional players receive competition-focused technical, tactical, physical and mental preparation, including match simulation, pressure practice, tournament planning and performance review.

What coaching methods are available?

Training can include group sessions, individual coaching, multiball practice, robot-assisted training, structured footwork, match play and AI-assisted video analysis, depending on the player’s level and development plan.

What facilities are available at the academy?

The academy has eight ITTF-approved STAG competition tables, professional vinyl sports flooring, player-focused lighting and a 30-foot ceiling. It also provides separate washrooms and changing rooms, fitness space, parent seating and parking.

Who leads the coaching team?

Training is led by Head Coach Chiten Sangba, supported by Senior Coach and Academy Manager Ms. Amen Imsong. Both have more than 10 years of coaching experience.

Does STAGPRO offer school and residential-community programs?

Yes. STAGPRO provides structured school coaching, coach deployment, academy setup, team preparation, tournaments and residential-community coaching for children and adults.

Does STAGPRO provide an academy jersey?

Yes. STAGPRO provides a standard academy jersey for all players. Wearing the official jersey is mandatory during regular training sessions and when representing STAGPRO at tournaments and other competitions.

Does STAGPRO provide or sell table tennis equipment?

Yes. STAGPRO has strategic partnerships with various table tennis equipment manufacturers and supplies rackets, rubbers, blades, balls and other training equipment. Since many players require customised rackets, our coaches recommend suitable equipment based on each player’s skill level, playing style, development needs and budget. To ensure that every player trains with appropriate and authentic equipment, parents are required to purchase the recommended equipment through STAGPRO.
